This is the last series on the topic how to move yourself forward which I kicked off this November 2022. We have learnt from the different sessions and now we are looking on how best to improve ourselves. How can we do this?
1. Learn New Things
This is why people go to school mainly to improve themselves. Additionally you need to embrace the fact that learning is a continuous process either by self-learning or schooling.
2. Discover your Identity
You identity is one of its kind because you are unique. So who are you? Take time to reflect on yourself and on your life. Then look at the future with hope.
3. Discover your Values
Drop the bad and embrace the good. Manage your emotions through emotional intelligence. By doing this you will automatically put away the bad and embrace the good.
4. Define Your Limits
It is a common occurrence for some of us to do things and later regret. It is therefore mandatory for us to think of the repercussions before your action. Understand what is the extent to which you can go and where to stop.
5. Kick Yourself Out of Your Comfort Zone
It requires energy, determination and sacrifice. Start by motivating yourself to rise up from your current situation. Don’t be a looker be a key actor instead of being a speculator. You can do and achieve more by getting uncomfortable with where you are for example by moving from your normal target to achieving more.
Work on yourself continuously because remember there is no end to learning as it is continuous. Also encourage yourself to take risks because if you fear risks you will remain in limbo and in the same spot. Finally, move beyond people’s opnions.
First by minding your own business, and secondly, by taking steps to repeat what works for you. Move beyond by embracing constructive feedback and finding a role model that you can emulate. In conclusion, remember you never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone. And finally, the change you desire begins with you.
