An extraordinary day turned into one of the most stunning recognitions in the heart of Nairobi’s Central Business District. Dr. George Wachiuri, the Optiven Group CEO and Chairman of the Optiven Foundation was on 5th December 2025 awarded as the Social Wellness CEO of the year 2025 by Esther Katiba.
The event held at the Nairobi Serena Hotel offered an opportunity to glimpse at what top leaders in different sectors had done towards enabling impactful environments in their business and leadership pursuits. Dr. Wachiuri who graced the occasion further cemented the role that Optiven had played in facilitating a wholesome culture of impacting the stakeholders.
His citation as presented by the awarding company cited Dr. Wachiuri as a forward thinking leader keen on fostering a positive impact in the community through inclusivity, health support and a vibrant culture as is evident at Optiven Group. In his acceptance speech, Dr. Wachiuri congratulated the organisers under the CEO Wellness Awards and also encouraged the corporate sector to continue supporting the communities they do their business in as part of efforts to enable a socially and economically empowered community.
Dr. Wachiuri was accompanied by Mary Wachuka, the Director for Strategy and Operations, Enos Orongo – Sales and Marketing Manager among others.
