The year 2021 is about to end. In a few weeks time we will bid bye to 2021 and we shall welcome the incoming year. For some individuals, the yearly date change — adding another year to life’s count — puts a more prominent spotlight on long haul objectives than occupied lives generally permit.
It is said that you are the product of the books you read, the company you keep and the thoughts you harbor. At the moment am reading a great piece of work in the form of a book by Chip Ingram titled “Good to Great in God’s Eyes: 10 Practices Great Christians Have in Common”. It is in this book that am looking at the power of great things in life and today I will share a number of them with you.
Leaders from all walks of life gathered today for the 7th edition of the Utumishi Bora Awards. The awards ceremony was held to honor the distinguished servant leaders who had worked around obstacles to provide direction and create a difference in society.
The 7 habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey is a self-improvement book. Covey states that the way we see the world is entirely based on our own perception. He goes ahead and says, “In order to change a given situation, we must change ourselves, and in order to change ourselves, we must be able to change our perceptions.” (Stephen R. Covey, 1989)
This is the last series on the topic how to move yourself forward which I kicked off this November 2022. We have learnt from the different sessions and now we are looking on how best to improve ourselves. How can we do this?
It is common knowledge that all of us are born with capacity to move forward. It is also true that none of us is born static and all of have are abled with capability. But how do we do this
What do you do to ensure that you are moving forward? Everyone gets into a situation where they feel stuck sometimes! Even those really successful people who might initially look like they have it all, struggle with this. When those feelings strike and you find yourself flat, unmotivated, and despondent about what you’re trying to achieve, it can be really tough to move forward.
The third cohort at the George Wachiuri School of Mentorship is set to start their classes this month. Classes for the mentorship programme will begin on 5th November 2021 where all attendees will be required to be present and participate at least 70% of the time of their engagement.

It is one thing to imagine is one thing but it takes grit to make it happen. Reality is our desire to achieve what we desire whether they be goals, targets, success and much more. What is it that we must do to actualize our reality?
The common denominator is that everyone wants a good life. But, its upon you to guard your heart so that not every negative attention penetrates you leading to depression. When individuals are stressed they loose their capability to focus. But when the mind is stable, we are able to achieve great results. There is power in focus, which scatters results as a result of a split mind.
Organizations have more to fear or to be concerned about where there is a lack of quality customer service. This is key to the organization compared to what is offered to the external customer. But who are the recipients of internal customer service? In most organizations these constitute of the staff, associates, and close stakeholders including suppliers and donors to the organization.
When I think of mentality, I think of a quote by Pat Riley who said, “If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges.” Basically, a healthy mindset can help you achieve remarkable things. It is said that passion is only ingredient that enables you to do what you love to do excellently. Over and over it has been proven that little if nothing, you can achieve if passion is not a part of what you do. So where can we apply and embrace passion in our daily lives?
We become almost always what we believe we are. This is what we desire to enable us achieve what we must become. There are a number of baselines that advise how to become what we believe.
